I’m a fan of her music and we are the same age. yay.

there are women who are turning 30 or over 30 who i admire for various reasons. then, there are the girls who embarrassing, immature, and just have a lot of growing up to do. they serve as reminder to me why i should be happy i am NOT 17 anymore. there is an inward sense of confidence, dignity, and grace that women cultivate with age. most younger girls lack this in varying degrees depending on the individual. people like miley cyrus make me happy i am not a teenager anymore. she also makes me happy i am turning thirty because i can say i am not part of the generation responsible for her fame and fortune.

as i’ve already said, i’ve run out of people i admire so here’s just another famous actress turning 30 this year. however, in jlh’s case, i don’t think she got famous because of her acting. anyway, that’s besides the point. she seems like a nice person. whatever.

i’ve run out of women that i admire that are turning 30, now i’m on to the list of famous people who are over 30. i loved claire danes in my so called life back when we were both 15. however, her recently home-wrecking ways haven’t been the most angelic so she fell off the women i admire list.

jennifer esposito plays andrea belladonna, my favorite character on one of my favorite tv shows, samantha who. andrea is my second favorite character on television second only to dwight schrute.

Kate Hudson turned 30 earlier this year.

mosquito bite update: the calamine has consistently worked great. i didn’t take benadryl last night but i probably will tonight.

I have two and a half months until my 30th birthday. It’s kind of a big deal to me. I don’t know what life will be like in my thirties. I feel like my twenties was rough. I was graduated and working in the real world by 21. Anyway, long story short, I am nervous about turning 30, but something that has given me inspiration and hope is seeing actresses who are already in their thirties continue exude youth and beauty. Therefore, I am going to be dedicating a new section of categories to Fabulous Women over Thirty. Woo-hoo!

First up is Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton. She plays the outward bitch but inward sweetheart receptionist (? - not sure, i haven’t seen the show in awhile). Anyway, she looks great for 31 and I would have never guessed she was anywhere past her twenties.
