i am still not over last’s night’s incredible game. i’m still in shock and too happy about everything. my favorite part is was this:
ray allen was so impressive, so confident. i love that in a guy so he’s my stud of the week for the week beginning june 8th.
in other news, i’m done with the school year and teaching! it was kinda sad to leave the gates of my school for the last time but now that i am home and super duper relaxed, i’m so happy. the first day of summer is always one of the best. yesterday was so hellish. i worked 12 hours straight and barely stopped ten minutes just to eat lunch. it was a horrible, stressful day. today is much easier.

my choice for the stud of the week for the week beginning june 1st is democratic presidential nominee barack obama. this afternoon he has clinched the 2,118 delegate votes necessary to win the nomination. hrc has finally conceded delivered a selfish, defiant speech and i hope she doesn’t get on the ticket as vice president for all my reasons for not wanting her as president. i hope the democratic party will finally be united once again under the official presidential nominee and i hope democratic voters, inspired by obama’s rallying leadership, will continue to come out in record numbers in november.

dwight schrute is my favorite character on the office by a mile! i love this character! he is my stud of the week for the week of may 25. in fact, he is one of my favorite television characters i’ve seen in a looong time. :) the reason being is that every time he comes on the screen i usually end up cracking up or at least smiling happily. even the the thought of him cracks me up. everything about him is funny: his name, his face, his personality, his oblivion of his social inadequacies, undying loyalty to the idiot boss, and just his mannerisms. in a lot of ways, he’s supposed to be “the bad guy” or at least, “the unlovable guy”, but that is the beauty of dwight: in his attempt to make himself unlovable, he becomes the most lovable character on the show. well, to me anyway. maybe it’s because i’m weird.
speaking of i’m weird-type statements, i have faithfully continued my mission of finding new blogs to read. i was completely unarmed and have forgotten what an annoying group of people bloggers can be. i visited at least 20 new blogs today and while there were many great ones, there were just as many completely lame ones. one thing that tied all the lame ones in common were the introductions: “i’m weird” “i’m strange” “i’m different”. they all thought they were the only unique person who had a blog or something. or maybe i was irked because upon reading their generic entries, they weren’t interesting, strange, weird, or whatever else they claimed to be in their introductions. they were just boring. sorry but i had to say it.
anyway, sorry i got off topic. i think i was done talking about dwight anyway.
x-posted from http://www.prach.org/blogusher is my stud of the week for week beginning may 18. i really loved his performance on the dancing with the stars finale. he was so smooth and i love that song. he turned a sleazy subject matter into something sexy with his style and smoothness even though i don’t think he’s a very attractive guy.
HOWEVER, there have been rumors on the internets regarding his lack of professionalism and diva-ness while on the show:
(from here)
Usher’s pre-taped, edited performance for tonight’s Dancing with the Stars finale may look seamless, but what happened behind the scenes at the singer’s May 13 taping left host Tom Bergeron and company scratching their heads–and scrambling to set up for the live show.
First, the 29-year-old singer arrived late, throwing the entire production behind schedule. Then, while appearing to lip-synch two songs—”Yeah!” and “Love in This Club”—he fell out of step with his choreography, turning the wrong way once and losing his mic a second time. With each mistake he walked offstage.
The performance then went further off-course when the singer took a long break to get a drink. “He was ridiculous,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Such a diva.”
Following Usher’s act, the DWTS cast and crew had only 15 minutes to prepare for the live show (rather than the standard 45-minute post-taping buffer.) “The [dancers] were all at their trailers ten minutes before the show was supposed to go live, like, ‘Don’t we have a live show to do?” a source says. “There was a lot of holdup. We almost didn’t [make it].”
The judges–who were dressed in their finale show formalwear for the pre-show taping–made a quick costume change, while a team of grips frantically wiped away scuff marks on the dance floor left behind by Usher and his dancers.
And just in the nick of time: the live show went off without a hitch. “It’s never gotten that close before–that was scary,” Bergeron told PEOPLE about the taping frenzy. Joked the good-natured host: “I don’t even know that [judges] Len and Bruno put on pants to come back, they changed outfits so fast!”
Usher’s rep did not return phone calls, while Dancing’s reps declined to comment.
well, i’m not sure what to believe. it seems like he sang it live but i wouldn’t put those rumors past him either since i don’t know the guy and obviously wasn’t there. i still like the (somewhat
tainted) performance though).
