x-posted from http://www.prach.org/bloghmmm… not sure. yes, we won on sunday night but it doesn’t change the fact that we sucked on offense almost the entire game and definitely during the second half where we were totally shut out. all we needed was a first down at the end of the game and we couldn’t do it. the defense and special teams definitely won the game for us - oh - and let’s not forget peyton manning, adam vinateri, and (something john madden didn’t want us to forget) many of the starters for the colts were injured (boo fucken hoo). i would also like to think that the fact that it was raining didn’t help the colts since they were used to their cozy (covered) dome and for once, i can be proud of the crowd at the Q for being loud and at least being partially responsible for a couple false starts. 
the sad thing is that charger fans could not be proud of our offense. in fact, it was pretty embarassing. if the chargers are known for anything, it’s our offense which was considered to be multifacted and runs like a well oiled machine … in past seasons anyway. sigh. now, we barely have a pulse and evidence of any type of rhythmn is neglible.
still, no matter how grim things look, i am still not sorry that marty is gone. norv turner is not proving to be any better of course, but he’s so new that i think the probably of getting rid of him is much higher than a coach who is just good enough to get to the playoffs but never good enough to win anything in the post season. bascially, someone who is clearly bad vs someone who is bad but hides it well.
anyway, we end our week holding more firmly than ever to the #1 spot in the afc west but the feeling of victory still eludes us.
i am having a rough night in general but i’m comforted by the fact that my cat follows me everywhere i go and sits next to me for comfort. 
and that reason is that all the teams i hate are doing really well and all the teams i like totally suck. it’s really frustrating to experience excruciating losses week after week. i am not a glutton for pain and i have gotten to the point where i don’t even care if i watch a single snap today. even though i’m doing decent on my fantasy leagues, i am just not enjoying football. i also kinda regret (for once) paying a crapload of money for nfl sunday ticket this year. i don’t know. actually, my mom has been coming over to watch it with me lately. it’s funny how some people’s moms visit them for various reason but my mom visits me because i have nfl sunday ticket. now that she’s here to watch it, i am kind of obligated to watch it even though i’d rather be watching something else.
last night was my 10 year high school reunion. i didn’t go mostly because i forgot about it up until 2 hours before the event. i actually found a date (someone has no life) but then i realized it was like gonna be $100 per person and that’s something i can’t afford right now. my boyfriend (who lives far away) actually offered to pay for both of us (which was very knight-in-shining-armour of him) but by then i didn’t feel like going anymore.

i am 0-3 in one of my fantasy football leagues but i need to vent about it because the difficulty of my schedule is gruelingly unfair. i’ve scored more points than everyone except one team in my division and i rank dead last. WTF! (i know, i know, it’s part of the game, a win is a win, yadda yadda yadda … kiss it.)
(PF stands for the points my team earned, and PA are the points my opponents scored that week. apparently, everyone’s team decides to blow up when they play against me and then goes right back to sucking the very next week.)
in better news, i am only a few days away from going to a charger game! since they got new uniforms this year, i am getting a new jersey to wear to the game. i am getting the powder blue jersey since i already have a navy one. i might meet some of the players so i am deciding what i should bring for them to sign? i don’t have a lot of money so i’m thinking a football? any other ideas? anyway, here’s a pic of the jersey i am ordering today:
