i did two lsat preptests today. this is my first day doing preptests even though i said i was gonna start a few days ago. i couldn’t believe how horribly i did on the first test so i picked up the pace for the second test and it went much better. actually, i did better than i have on any test (real or practice) so far … which i think is pretty good considering i was completely nauseous and lightheaded half way through. i’d say that my completely screwed up sleep schedule is to blame. eh, i’m not too hard on myself … it’s summer afterall!

i am almost finished watching season one of the golden girls and i’m beginning to realize why i like it so much:

1. they are always eating
2. they are always eating late at night when they should be sleeping
3. they are always doing #1 & 2 in comfy pyjamas and bathrobes

ahhh, the best things in the world!!!! how could any girl resist?

thanks to outsourcing, i now have the choice of speaking to a machine that speaks english or a live human being … that doesn’t.

is it just me or is american idol not even worth watching anymore? i’ve been watching this show since season one and as much as i tried to get into this season, i can’t. before, it would be so addicting, now it is so boring. my least favorite is that beat boxing guy. god, he’s so annoying and overrated. all of them are, but i think he’s the worst.

I’ve been having a lot of luck with beauty products lately so for the second day in a row I would like to share something awesome I found this weekend. I have pretty good experience with Neutrogena Makeup: the other thing I tried from them were the MoistureShine LipSheers which I liked a lot. Anyway, the new one I tried this weekend are the MoistureShine Lip Soothers. I love how it’s so shiny and had the perfect amount of color so it’s really wearable. It’s like, a gloss and a lip balm which is my favorite combination - I just love combination products. Finally, it smells great: fruity and minty at the same time. The color that I use is call Gleam which is this fun pink color. It’s great. It’s all I’ve been using since I bought it whether I’m wearing other makeup or not.

This isn’t really a rave but i updated my desktop and I am trying out a new theme. there are some cool things about it but I don’t really like dark themes in general but I just want to try something different.

there has been a lot of talk about how rex grossman is to blame for the bears’ loss, present company included. however, i personally feel that the bears loss on both sides of the ball. the supposedly “great” bears defense did not blitz manning as much as they should have and allowed peyton manning to march down the field with the greatest of ease. on top of that, they allowed rhodes and addai to successfully run draw after draw. here, i would not only blame the coaching which was horrendous, but also the defense; namely the middle linebacker, who is brian urlacher. i have always thought he was overrated but now there is no doubt in my mind that he is overrated.

personally, i am doing okay. last week was really emotionally draining and i have so much crap to juggle right now with my two jobs, trying to get into shape, studying for the lsat, trying to maintain a relationship with someone who works a million hours a week, and grieving with my family for the death of my uncle. tonight i went to the gym at 10pm and ran for 2 miles. it feels really good. i’m not sure how great i’ll feel tomorrow though since i have to wake up in about 5 or 6 hours and work another 10 or so.

this weekend i went to vegas to see mariah carey perform at the mgm grand. i had a really great time. unfortunately, mariah was an hour late and she was on stage for only about an hour. that’s a pretty messed up thing to do to your fans. however, the hour she was on stage was pretty magical. i almost cried 2 or 3 times and i’m not the type to cry at concerts. she was amazing. unfortunately, they also literally kicked people out who had cameras (like the guy sitting in front of me) so we couldn’t take any actual pics of the show.

now, i am sick at home with the flu. i missed work today and i am going to miss it again tomorrow. at least i’m beginning to feel a little bit better now.

after and during my parents’ divorce i all but disowned my dad. however, something happened at a family function (that I didn’t know he was was invited to) made me see him in a different light. Basically, people were being insensitive toward me and I got really pissed and left early. I found out later that my dad stood up for me after i left. This made me feel really happy and sad at the same time because I guess I forgot that he still loves me. It’s so easy to see him as this evil villian with only one side but this act showed me a side of him that I forgot existed: his human side. I guess when someone does something wrong we can either see them as a villian or as a human. We all have problems and weaknesses that keep us for being who we want to be. I know my dad’s weaknesses but must that be all I see? I’m going to try to see my dad as my dad and not as my enemy for awhile.

I sent vox invites to everyone who asked for one and I still have one more.

The tutorial is up. I don’t know if I can call it much of a tutorial. It is more of a list of programs I use. Feedback and suggestions are welcomed. Truth is, I’m lazy and I half-assed it. But if there is a burning question that I didn’t answer with my tutorial-wanna-be, then let me know so I can make it better. Thanks!

i’m actually looking forward to the beginning of the school year.

i saw a marathon of the hills for the first time yesterday. the show is more interesting and bearable than i expected. Lauren is really pretty. I love her eyebrows.
